Vtg Japanese Clay Zodiac Decoration
This is a vintage Japanese clay figurine celebrating the year of the Snake. It has a round shape and is red and gold with a purple string. This figurine has a felt pad on the bottom.
Snake, or hebi, is one of the twelve signs of Japanese Zodiac (Junishi). There is a sign for each year and a full cycle is repeated after 12 years. It is common to display the year's sign in the entrance or in the living room in Japan.
