Vintage Japanese Clay Chrysanthemum Roof Tile
This is a vintage Japanese sculpted clay chrysanthemum roof tile (kawara) decoration often found on temples and sometimes private residences. This ridge-end tile acts as a decorative element, however, chrysanthemum also symbolizes longevity and rejuvination. The chrysanthemum is also the emblem of the Japanese imperial family. It can be installed on a building but is also perfect for general eye-catching decor.
