Vtg Japanese Tea Ceremony Bowl Chawan 

This is a Japanese vintage green tea bowl, Matcha Chawan. Pseudognaphalium affine flower and poetry drew on the bowl. This flower is called Hahakogusa (Mother and child) in Japanese.  Poetry means "Someone taught me this flower's name is Hahakogusa. What a  gentle name". Green tea bowls are not only for drinking tea these are also for appreciating tea bowls as works of art. These have various sizes and styles. Shallow bowls are used in summer which is for the tea to cool quickly, and deep bowls are used in winter to keep the tea hot for a longer time.
