Vintage Japanese Tea Ceremony Kettle Brazier
This is a vintage Japanese textured cast-iron kettle (chagama) and Furo (ro) portable brazier set for Japanese tea ceremony. This set comes with the brazier and the chagama. There are handles on both the brazier and the chagama. This set has an aged look but it is in a good condition. It comes in a cardboard box.
This item is used in Sado, the Japanese traditional tea ceremony, to heat water for tea-making. It has hanging handles so it can be manipulated more easily. Furo is one of the many utensils required for tea ceremony. It is usually placed in the center of the room.
