Vtg Japanese Buddhist Prayer Beads Juzu
This is a vintage Japanese Buddhist prayer rosary bracelet, Juzu. It is made of brown resin beads that have a tiger eye stone look. It has two smaller transparent clear beads on each side and a bigger clear bead as main bead. The main bead has two attached brown pom poms.
Japanese Buddhist rosary bracelets (Juzu or Nenju) are used for daily religious practices as well as at funerals and other Buddhist ceremonies. When using a rosary, hold it in your left hand. When you pray, put your hands together and place the prayer beads between your index finger and thumb. If the rosary is long, hold it in two rows. (How to hold varies by denomination).
