Japanese Incense Burner Koro for Buddhist Altar Butsudan   

This is a vintage Japanese brass incense burner, Koro. There are two incense burners, one on the back of the Shishi lion and the other under the stand. It is used for burning incense powder or sticks. The incense burner has the meaning of purifying the body of the worshiper.
