Vtg Japanese Incense Burner Koro for Buddhist Altar Butsudan
This item is a vintage Japanese Buddhist altar fitting small brass incense burner (Koro). This type of burner is used for burning incense powder or sticks. The incense burner has the meaning of purifying the body of the worshiper. It's decorated with Shisa. Shisa is a statue known in Okinawa as a talisman and guardian spirit.
