Vintage Japanese Bereaved Families Association Group Photograph
This is an original vintage Showa Era group photograph of the Fuso Town Bereaved Families Association posing in front of the entrance gate to Zenkoji Temple in Nagano. Post-war, it was common for towns and villages to have support groups for families who had lost a family member in battle. These groups often would visit temples to pay respects to those who fought and died in wars.
