Antique Japanese Porcelain Plate
This is an antique Japanese C1900s porcelain plate, Sara. The design depicts butterflies flying over chrysanthemum flower to flower. Distortion is seen in the old plate. Because it was fired with firewood instead of gas or electricity as it is today, the temperature was not stable and it was easy to warp.
