This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine represents a black lion and a tengu, two characters of the lion dance, in Japanese shishimai, performed in Furukawa Sugo (Gifu prefecture). Kokeshi dolls are traditional toys that can easily be used for decorative purposes.
