Vtg Japanese Silk Cover For Gift Envelopes
This is a Japanese vintage fabric cover for gift envelopes (Kinpu Fukusa) given at weddings or funerals. The fabric is woven using the Tsudure-ori technique. It is plain purple with a design of gold peony flowers and arabesques. This cover is very sturdy, preventing envelopes and notes from being folded while carrying around. It includes an envelope for a gift of money, Shugi-bukuro, and comes with the original box.
