This is a beautiful 4 tiered Japanese lacquered Tsugaru-Nuri bento box with a handle. This box can be used for serving meals or taking on picnics. Japanese lacquer is made using the sap of the lacquer tree. Each piece takes weeks to months to make because each layer of the lacquer has to be added step by step. Japanese lacquerware is very durable and can be used for years.
