This is a pair of Japanese hanging scroll (kakejiku) weights, or fuchin. Fuchin is a decoration that hangs on both ends of the bottom of a hanging scroll. It's a decoration as well as weighs the scroll down to keep it straight.
This item features natural granite stones in a cylindrical shape in a beige color with light brown veins and splashes of gray. It has dark purple tassels with a gold accent underlay at the head. It comes in the original paper box.
