Vintage Japanese Gifu Lantern W/ Stand
This is a vintage Japanese silk lantern. It has a double layer, with the inner layer decorated with a subtle design featuring black and blue Autumn flowers. The blue flowers might be fuyo flowers (a type of hibiscus). The lantern fits on a 3-legged black wooden stand. This type of lantern is usually used as a display during the Obon summer festival. This lantern flattens and is easily stored in the matching box.
