Vtg Japanese Ceramic Wild Boar Zodiac Decoration

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic figurine of a walking wild boar. It has a light blue celadon glaze and a simplistic style. It has little green felt pads on the feet to protect surfaces from scratching.
Boar, or inoshishi, is one of the twelve signs of Japanese Zodiac (Junishi). There is a sign for each year and a full cycle is repeated after 12 years. It is common to display the year's sign in the entrance or in the living room in Japan.
