Antique Japanese Boys School Group Photograph
This is an antique Taisho Era black and white photograph of students and teachers posing for a school photo. The boys all wear hakama, a style of traditional clothing that offers mobility (like wearing trousers). A simple kimono fits underneath and the hakama bottoms are worn over it. Some of the boys have traditional hair styles and some have shaved heads with school caps. The teachers all wear what would become modern-day junior high and high school uniforms. It comes adhered to a thick paper board.
