Vintage Japanese Drawstring Bag Made With Kimono Cloth
This is a Japanese drawstring bag, kinchaku-bukuro, made of soft silk kimono cloth in an array of vibrant colors (red, pink, green yellow). The main body of the bag uses silk fabric decorated with chrysanthemums (kiku) and peonies (botan) with stripes, while the top border is a solid bubblegum pink color. The lining is a simple beige cotton fabric. The cord is a orangish-pink. It has a decent-sized round gusset with a solid piece to keep the bag's shape.
While wearing kimono or yukata (summer kimono), this bag gives the overall look its finishing touch. It is also good for everyday use, for makeup, or for storing small items.
