Vtg Japanese Gimlet Kiri for Carpentry
This is a vintage Japanese gimlet, kiri for woodworking. The tip has a triangular long pyramid shape. There are some inscriptions on the handle.
A gimlet is a tool for making small holes by hand. It is used for drilling holes in soft materials such as wood, and for drilling pilot holes that serve as guides for accurately driving nails and screws.
