Japanese Hagi Ware Yunomi Teacup
This vintage Japanese ceramic teacup is in a very basic pink and gray color with no other designs other than a crackled look. The base has a triangle cutout, which is a common feature of hagi-yaki pottery. The bottom is stamped with the hagi 萩 kanji.
This cup is called yunomi, made for serving and drinking sencha (standard loose-leaf tea). It is typically brought to guests in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
