Vtg Japanese Kimekomi Ningyo Fabric Doll Zodiac Monkey
This vintage Japanese Kimekomi fabric doll represents a monkey, one of the Chinese zodiac animals, and is a decoration for the New Year. It has a wooden base with silk fabric applied according to the kimekomi technique. The monkey holds a three-tiered set of bells on a rod or Kagurasuzu and leans against a money bag. The monkey's body is brown with gold streaming-like lines, and the bag is pink and sparkling. A wooden stand and sign are included. It comes with the extra fabric, paulownia powder, and the original paper box.
