Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Serving Tray

This is a vintage Japanese wooden lacquered tray, or Obon, typically used for serving drinks and or snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc. This sizable, shallow tray is rectangular with a textured top surface to assist in keeping things from sliding around. It is mostly black with a gold edge.
