Vtg Japanese Hanging Scroll Kakejiku

This is a vintage Japanese hang scroll Kakejiku. A printed picture of Buddha is drawn, and below it is written Igitsushi and Nishikitsu Village in Kani County in kanji. Historically, on July 1, 1889 (Meiji 22), Nishikori Village and Igitsushi Village merged to form Nishikitsu Village, After that, it merged again and became Yaotsu Town in 1955 (Showa 30). so it is believed that this hanging scroll was drawn around this time. Kakejiku is a Japanese picture or calligraphy mounted on a piece of paper. Kakejiku was a tool to spread Buddhism in Japan. It has been integrated with Japanese culture as interior decoration. Tokokake is used at the Tokonoma in tatami room. Chakake has Zen words used in the tea ceremony room. Buddha-kake is used in the Buddhist altar.
