Vintage Japanese Pottery Sake Bottle Kayoi-Tokkuri
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic sake bottle. It is called a Kayoi-Tokkuri and is used to pour sake. The commuting sake bottle became popular as a rental container for liquor stores in the Edo period when sake began to be consumed daily. It is covered with brown glaze, and the unglazed parts make some characters related to Sake. The body is round, and the neck is long and thin.
