Vintage Japanese Ceramic Shino Ware Nabe Pot
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic nabe pot. Used to cook various hotpot dishes with vegetables, meat, and noodles, this large shallow pot is a dark brown with a shino ware lid in terracotta and beige with a leaf/plant design. It has two wavy handles on the sides for easy transport and a spouted lip on the pot for pouring out liquid. On the lid is a hole for venting steam. This is a popular household item that is used primarily during the winter months and can be used to serve 3-4 people.
