Vintage Japanese Soy Sauce Dish

This is a vintage Japanese soy sauce dish, Seiji. It is a small, rounded rectangular shallow bowl or plate meant to hold soy sauce as well as other seasonings for the purpose of dipping. With a simple lined border on two sides and koi fish with water ripples at the center, this little bowl can also hold other food items such as pickles. This is a common item when eating sashimi, for example.
