Vintage Japanese Soy Sauce Dish
This is a vintage Japanese soy sauce dish, Seiji. It is a small, rectangular shallow bowl or plate meant to hold soy sauce as well as other seasonings for the purpose of dipping. It is mostly white with a centrally-focused design of a pufferfish (fugu) and a blue band along the inside rim. This is a common dish when eating sashimi or sushi, for example.
