Japanese Pair Buddhist Altar Fitting Electric Lights
This is a pair of vintage Japanese Buddhist brass electric lights commonly used in rinto, or hanging lanters commonly found in Butsudan (Buddhist home altars). Made of brass and shaped like a blooming lotus flower, these small lights sit on raised platforms so they can be seen while sitting inside rinto lanterns. They are connected by wires. It has a standard Japanese plug (125V). This item has been tested and one of the lights illuminated; however, the other may not have because of an old bulb. The wiring fits perfectly in the lotus frame, and is removable, so it can easily be re-wired for any power grid and plug style.
