Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl or matcha chawan. It is pale gray with a blue design. This Kanji design says a calendar of a year. It also has a fireball-like design between the calendar, and around it has an indentation that helps hold the bowl. There is a signature near the foot. It is sturdy and easy to handle. It is wrapped with a yellow cloth and cased in a wooden box with a ribbon.
Green tea bowls are traditionally used to prepare and drink green tea during tea ceremonies, but can be used in many scenes of modern everyday life.
