Vtg Japanese Porcelain Yunomi Teacup

This vintage Japanese teacup has a crackled light green glaze. It is decorated with pictures of round coins with a square hole in the center in lack and reddish brown colors. This elegant and delicate cup a compact size and has a light weight, so it can be carried easily.

This type of cups is called yunomi. Sometimes they are more cylindrical but they are made for serving and drinking sencha (standard looseleaf tea). These cups are typically brought to guest in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
