Vintage Japanese Porcelain Rice Bowl

This item is a vintage Japanese porcelain rice bowl. The design on this wide-mouthed small bowl features a sometsuke white and blue design of stalks of bamboo in front of what appears to be a woven basket-like background. The foot of the bowl has two simple blue bands for decoration. It can also be used for side dishes. Rice bowls are made to be lightweight and held in one hand (thumb on rim, other fingers on foot).
