Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Hanging Lantern Butsugu Parts
This is a set of spare parts from a vintage Japanese Buddhist metal hanging lantern, or rinto, made to be hung in Buddhist altars (butsugu). Made of sturdy metal and colored gold to mimic brass, these pieces have brass loops at the top for hanging. They also have a raised circular piece on the inside of the base meant to secure a small round metal bracket, which would then hold a small plate or bowl that holds weights, candles, or sometimes small electrical lights. **This is not a complete set.**
