Japanese Rice Offering Cup Buddhist Altar Fitting Butsugu
This is a two-piece set of Japanese rice offering cups, Buppanki, made for use in a Buddhist altar. These cups are a larger size than usual and are made of brass metal. The base has a black resin cap on the bottom. The rice offered to Buddhist altars is called “Buppan”. In the Jodo Shinshu Otani sect, we use the term "Obuku".
