Vtg Japanese Hanging Scroll Kakejiku
This is a vintage Japanese hang scroll Kakejiku. A yellow autumn chrysanthemum is drawn, and above it is a poem that expresses the scenery where insects sing. Kakejiku is a Japanese picture or calligraphy mounted on a piece of paper. Kakejiku was a tool to spread Buddhism in Japan. It has been integrated with Japanese culture as interior decoration. Tokokake is used at the Tokonoma in tatami room. Chakake has Zen words used in the tea ceremony room. Buddha-kake is used in the Buddhist altar.

Good conditions. Small holes on the top. Repair on the bottom bar with old adhesive, water damage on the repaired corner, and along the backside top bar. Wear tear due to age. Please see the photos.
