This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine represents a tanuki, a Japanese raccoon dog, holding a small bottle of sake. The body of the tanuki is made from a walnut. The face has painted details such as the eyes, the nose and the whiskers. On the right, there is a bamboo ring that can be used as a pen holder. This figurine has a wooden base with some inscriptions.
