Japanese Suiseki Viewing Stone Ornament
This item is a Japanese viewing stone, also called Suiseki. This orange and brown stone is likely made of jasper and was cut and polished into the shape of a small mountain range. It comes with a wooden base made specially for it. The base is removable.
In traditional Japanese culture, Suiseki are rocks, big and small, appreciated for their natural aesthetics and decorative values. This suiseki stone makes for a gorgeous centerpiece or mantelpiece.
