Vintage Japanese Vermilion Ink Pad
This is a vintage Japanese vermilion ink pad with a lid. This type of ink is used for Hanko or Inkan, the Japanese seals. The container has a shape of persimmon and made of cast iron. The part of the stem and leaves is the lid. Kanji on the sticker says the kind of persimmon and the name of the producing area. Handwritten Kanji on the bottom is likely to be a female name.
