Vintage Japanese Folding Fan Case
This is a vintage Japanese folding fan case/carrying sleeve, or sensubukuro. This case is made specifically for a maisen, or performing fan and has a long tapered shape. It is made from a collection of gold, blue, red, green, and orange in traditional floral designs. Inside is a thin, light brown-colored lining. The top folds over and keeps closed with a woven orange cord and plastic toggle.
