Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wood Serving Tray w/ Box

This is a vintage Japanese lacquered wooden tray, or Obon, typically used for serving drinks and or snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc.
This rectangular tray has lifted sides and is coated with black lacquer, accentuating the textured surface. It has makie gold painted pine needles (matsuba) as decoration. Aside from usual purposes, this tray is ideal for displaying items on a tabletop such as a centerpiece. It comes with the original box.
