Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Makie Plate
This is a vintage Japanese lacquered wooden round small plate. It has an elegant glossy dark red color on the front and it is black on the back. This small plate is decorated with a design of flying birds painted in gold and silver.
This type of plate, called Meimeizara, is commonly used during tea ceremonies for wagashi sweets. It is the ideal size for serving small snacks and desserts. This little lightweight round plate is perfect for decoration as well as for entertaining.
