Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Lacquer Offering Table
This is a vintage Japanese Buddhist altar offering table (Maejyoku). It is coated with a brown lacquer and has a removable top panel with lifted winged ends. It is a minimalist rectangular shape with no extra embellishments.
There are two types of offering tables Maejyoku and Uwajyoku. Maejoku is placed in front of the Shumidan. It is used for 3 Gusoku (candle stand, flower vase, and incense burner). Uwajoku is placed in front of Amidanyorai. It is used for a flower vase, a rice cup, and a kasha incense burner.

- Good condition considering age. Some light scratches. Round mark where cup had been resting. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
