This is a vintage wooden Japanese cake mold for traditional Japanese sweets (wagashi or Higashi) that has been used since the Edo period. You can make various shapes of Japanese sweets by using different molds. Japanese sweets can be said to be a Japanese art that can be enjoyed both in appearance and taste.
