Vintage Japanese Wooden Serving Tray w/ Box

This is a Japanese vintage wooden tray, or Obon, typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc. A rich dark brown in color with lovely wood grain on display, this simple and sturdy rectangular tray provides both function and beautiful decor. It features decorative metal embellishments on the corners.
The original box is included.

  • Kanji on box: Kyoku mokusei shikki (high-end wooden lacquerware), Tennenboku (natural wood), Urushi Toso (lacquer topcoat)

  • Good condition considering its age. Light scratches. Box has some discoloration. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
