Vtg Japanese Wooden Transom Panel Ranma Decoration
This is a vintage Japanese ranma, a transom panel that is installed above sliding door frames in traditional Japanese tatami rooms. Not only do they add a subtle, natural decorative flair to any room, the open spaces in the design allow for light and air to flow from room to room with ease.
This particular ranma has a very unique naturally forming design unlike many which are carved with scenery, flowers, trees, or birds and animals.
