Japanese Tea Caddy Natsume for Tea Ceremony
This vintage Japanese matcha lidded tea caddy, called natsume, is an important addition to any traditional tea ceremony set. Made of wood, it is a simple medium brown color that showcases natural wood grain.
It is used to hold enough matcha powder for the guests at the ceremony, however, it is not a sealed long-term storage container, and the design and size is chosen based on the ceremony type, season, or simply personal preference.
