Vintage Japanese Wooden Storage Box
Wooden boxes are a standard method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are widely used for many traditional Japanese crafts, including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc, and even food.
This lidded box is made of sturdy wood and is natural light brown in color. The lid has inscriptions and two Kamon family crests in gold foil. The lid has elegant cuts on the long sides. It is excellent for general storage, DIY, or decoration.
