Vintage Japanese Wooden Storage Box

Wooden boxes are a standard method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are widely used for many traditional Japanese crafts, including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, and even food.

This small lidded box is made of wood and is brown. It has strings to secure the lid. There are inscriptions on the outside and the inside of the lid. It is excellent for general storage, DIY, or decoration.
