Vintage Japanese Wooden Storage Box

Wooden boxes are a common method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are also widely used for a plethora of other traditional Japanese crafts, including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc, and even food.

This lidded box is made of wood and has a brown color. There are inscriptions on the lid. It is excellent for general storage, DIY, or decoration.
