Vtg Japanese Traditional Kokeshi Doll 

This is a vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine. Kokeshi are simple wooden Japanese dolls with no arms or legs that have been crafted for more than 150 years as a toy for children. This classic kokeshi doll is brushed with a glossy clear lacquer and painted with a decorative array of red flowers with green leaves as well as black and red bands throughout. The face is sweet, painted with black lines, and has brush strokes for hair.
