Vtg Japanese Wooden Saucer Coaster Chataku
This is a five-piece set of vintage Japanese wooden lacquered Hida Shunkei Nuri drink saucers or coasters, also known as chataku. It is used when serving tea to guests and protects the table top from moisture. In true shunkei style, the lacquer is a caramel-brown color and the overall design is very simple.
