Japanese Wooden Bucket Sushioke, Hangiri, Handai
This is a Japanese vintage wooden sushi bucket. It is called Sushioke, Hangiri, or Handai. Sushioke is a bucket used to serve sushi. This is usually made of wood and is firmly held together by two thin metal plates or wires called Taga. This particular sushi bucket has twisted wires. It comes with a lid with inscriptions on the inside.
